It`s not often that vegetarians & vegans get the opportunity to influence menu options & boost availability of healthy meals. That`s exactly the position we are delighted to be in at the present time, as we help a local food producer conduct `research & development` before a whole new range of veggie/vegan meals is launched.

Tasker`s Tasty Takeaways are based in Redditch and provide healthy takeaway meals locally. They recognise the need to cater for vegetarians/vegans and currently have a couple of veggie/vegan options on their menu. But they have noticed that there is a severe lack of choice and availability for us, and are determined to address this situation.

By working with RVV over the coming months, Ian Tasker aims to establish what meals we would like to see more readily available locally, then prepare samples and bring them along to our meetings for all to try. We will offer advice, suggestions and constructive criticism as to how they may be made tastier and more appealing, so that the ingredients can be adjusted before we sample them again!

By working together in this way at a series of meetings, Ian will develop a new range of healthy takeaway meals which he then intends to sell to local pubs, shops etc, therefore increasing the amount of local eateries that cater for veggies/vegans.
