Redditch`s 2nd annual green fair on Sat 2 June was a fantastic, fun filled, informative event. Who would have thought that Redditch could ever be home to a vibrant and growing `green` movement?!! But this green fair proved that`s exactly what is taking shape in Redditch right now! Vegetarian and vegan awareness was a key part of the day and there was masses of free, climate-friendly, vegan food on the RVV stall. Not only did RVV volunteers feed the masses, we also served fair trade, organic, vegan refreshments all day long

The Redditch Green Fair was by far the biggest eco event ever held in Redditch. There were a total of 23 stalls and 3 of them were veggie/vegan related! The RVV stall was packed full of a vast array of vegan food samples, everything from samosas, sos rolls & mini nut rissoles to falafel, pizza and lots of yummy cakes!! We would like to say a big thankyou to everyone that donated food for our stall, including the ever supportive veggie/vegan companies Redwood Wholefoods, Beanie`s Health Foods, Bute Island Foods and Granovita - we couldn`t have done it without you!! There was also a Viva! stall selling lots of cruelty-free merchandise and a Vegan Society stall outside.

Our eco-veggie posters were on display throughout the event, leaving fair goers in no doubt that a plant based diet is essential for anyone who cares about the survival of the planet!! Other stalls offered electric assisted bicycles, wind-up radios, organic produce, fair trade goods, ethical stationery, waste reduction solutions, water powered clocks, eco cleaning products and masses of information about how to lead a greener, cleaner life.

Kristoff the Clown entertained dozens of children(and their parents) with his magic show(see below), and then walked round the fair playing his guitar and performing tricks for the benefit of fair-goers and stallholders alike.
