Meeting/Film Screening - Wed 2 April

Where: St Georges Community Hall, St Georges Road, Redditch. B98 8EE
Date: Wed 2nd Apr 2008 @ 19:30 until 21:30 ( past event )

If you`re veggie or vegan(or moving in that direction), why not come along to our meeting and get to know other veggies/vegans from across Redditch! We`re a friendly bunch, of all ages, from assorted backgrounds. We have one thing in common - we want to live a healthy, compassionate, eco-friendly lifestyle by not eating meat/animal products, and we want to promote the many benefits to others!

Film Screening - Safer Medicines, without animal suffering
This 35 minute film is produced by Europeans for Medical Progress and contains no animal images.

Safer Medicines showcases state-of-the-art approaches to ensuring that drugs in the future will be safer than they have been in the past. World leading scientists from industry and academia present their vision for the future of drug development – with a focus on human biology.

Europeans for Medical Progress is an independent patient safety organisation of doctors and scientists whose concern is whether animal testing, today, is more harmful than helpful to public health and safety. Their goal is to protect human health by promoting human-specific medical research.

As always,
Red Kite Health Foods will have a stall at the meeting, offering a wide range of tempting treats from the shops shelves.

FREE ADMISSION - Everyone Welcome - Doors Open 7.15pm

Vegan biscuits and refreshments will be available for everyone from 7.15pm. As always, there will be a range of factsheets and leaflets to browse and take home. There will also be a `library` of interesting books regarding veggie/vegan diets. Everyone will be welcome to borrow books and bring them back next time.
