Cut the Carbon March and Rallies
Climate change is happening now and its the poor that are suffering most. Britain needs to cut carbon emissions, and we need to do it now. Christian Aid is staging the longest march in UK history to make that demand loud and clear.
The Cut the Carbon march will last eleven weeks, beginning in Northern Ireland on 14 July and ending at the London Stock Exchange on 2 October. The march will raise awareness all over the UK and Ireland that climate change is not just a future problem, it is a current crisis for millions of poor people. The march will include several major rallies and smaller local events.
On Monday 27th August(Bank Holiday) the marchers will reach Birmingham where there`ll be a rally in conjunction with Islamic Relief and I Count. People are gathering at 11:30am at Bradford Street, Birmingham City Centre for a march to Millenium Point, where there`ll be a rally and concert from 1pm. Contact Christian Aid Birmingham office, Show email address., or call 0121 200 2283 for more details.
