Cookery Demo Meeting - Wed 6 June

Where: St Georges Community Hall, St Georges Road, Redditch. B98 8EE
Date: Wed 6th Jun 2007 @ 19:30 until 21:30 ( past event )

If you`re veggie or vegan(or moving in that direction), why not come along to our meeting and get to know other veggies/vegans from across Redditch! We`re a friendly bunch, of all ages, from assorted backgrounds. We have one thing in common - we want to live a healthy, compassionate, ethical lifestyle by not eating meat/animal products, and we want to promote the many benefits to others!

Dairy-Free Cakes Cookery Demo

This is not to be missed!! Liz Hughes of Birmingham Veggies & Vegans will cook various delicious cakes using a selection of the 1,000`s of vegan recipes available. All of these mouthwatering cakes will then be available to sample, and the printed recipes will be free to take home!!:

  • Lemon and Ginger Cheesecake
  • Chocolate Fudge Cake
  • Treacle Pudding
  • Sponge Cake
Liz will also give general hints and tips on vegan cake making. This event will not only suit vegans, but also those with milk allergies or the lactose intolerant. Why should you have to go without delicious desserts? Now you don`t have to!! Download the cake recipes here

Veggie Food Research
Also at this meeting, a local food producer will provide samples of his current range of healthy takeaway meals, for us to offer advice/suggestions as to how they can be improved. He intends to launch a whole new range of veggie/vegan options sometime this year! Click here for more details of this.

FREE ADMISSION - Everyone Welcome

Vegan biscuits and refreshments will be available for everyone from 7.15pm. As always, there will be a range of factsheets and leaflets to browse and take home. There will also be a `library` of interesting books regarding veggie/vegan diets. Everyone will be welcome to borrow books and bring them back next time.
