Guest Speaker Meeting - Wed 2 May

Where: St Georges Community Hall, St Georges Road, Redditch. B98 8EE
Date: Wed 2nd May 2007 @ 19:30 until 21:30 ( past event )

If you`re veggie or vegan(or moving in that direction), why not come along to our meeting and get to know other veggies/vegans from across Redditch! We`re a friendly bunch, of all ages, from assorted backgrounds. We have one thing in common - we want to live a healthy, compassionate, eco-friendly lifestyle by not eating meat/animal products, and we want to promote the many benefits to others!

Bach Flower Remedies
Alternative therapist Angie Westwood will give a fascinating talk about Bach Flower Remedies. Angie is fully qualified and experienced in various alternative treatments, including Reiki and Reflexology. Angie has been vegetarian for 20 years.
Flower - Bach Remedies
The Bach Flower Remedies are a system of 38 Flower Essences that correct emotional imbalances: negative emotions are replaced with positive. Bach flowers are natural, gentle, effective and completely free of harmful side effects. They work in conjunction with herbs, homeopathy and medications.  They are 100% safe for everyone, including children, pregnant women, pets, elderly and even plants.

Bach Remedies were developed by Dr. Edward Bach (1886-1936),  a Harley Street Clinic physician and prominent bacteriologist, homeopath, and researcher. Dr. Bach believed that mental attitude plays a vital role in maintaining health and recovering from illness. Bach Flower Therapy helps us to deal constructively with the negative behavior patterns of human nature such as jealousy, impatience, the inability to say no, timidity, and inappropriate guilt that are viewed by Bach practitioners as the underlying cause of physical illness. Veggie Food Research
Also at this meeting, a local food producer will provide samples of his current range of healthy takeaway meals, for us to offer advice/suggestions as to how they can be improved. He intends to launch a whole new range of veggie/vegan options sometime this year! Click here for more details of this.

FREE ADMISSION - Everyone Welcome

There will be a short agenda to follow which will include a discussion about arrangements for 2 big forthcoming events - firstly, our info stall at the Ragley Green Fair from 5-7 May, and secondly, our food sample/information stall and vegan catering at the Redditch Green Fair on Sat 2 June.

Vegan biscuits and refreshments will be available for everyone from 7.15pm. As always, there will be a range of factsheets and leaflets to browse and take home. There will also be a `library` of interesting books regarding veggie/vegan diets. Everyone will be welcome to borrow books and bring them back next time.
