A vegetarian diet is better for you, animals and the planet. If you are not already vegetarian, Animal Aid challenges you to take the veggie pledge for a week during March - Veggie Month. If you are already veggie... try going vegan!
In order to promote Veggie Month, RVV plan to hold 1 or 2 information stalls in the town centre and also stage the following events. Please Contact Us if you would like to help in any way.
- We hope to go door to door leafletting with Animal Aid`s excellent `go veggie` leaflets.
- We`ll hold an information/food sample stall at Hillfield Animal Sanctuary Open Day on Sunday 4 March. Find more details here
- We hope to re-create the hilarious street theatre that was seen in the town centre just prior to last years Mothering Sunday. We donned aprons, dressing gowns and slippers, whilst using an ironing board, hoover and mop/bucket to attract the attention of passers by and highlight the plight of `Britains Hardest Working Mother` - the dairy cow!! Read more about last years event here
- A Free Veggie Food Fayre will be held in Leamington Spa on Saturday 31st March. Members of RVV will help to prepare food in the days/weeks leading up to the event and we`ll be helping to serve food, offer advice and wash up on the day!! See the Leamington Veggies website here
