The theme for this years World Vegan Week is the environment. We plan to hold various events during the week, including information stalls, our social/meeting on Wednesday 1st November(World Vegan Day) and we`ll be joining a Fairtrade Meal at Redditch College on Thursday 2nd November.

Finally, we`ll be joining the National Climate March in London on Saturday 4th November. In excess of 10,000 people are expected to join a rally and march calling on world leaders to act now to prevent the catastrophic destabilisation of global climate. We aim to carry banners calling on people to `Save the Planet - Go Veggie/Vegan` and distribute hundreds of shocking leaflets recently released by Viva! and The Vegan Society, which spell out the environmental devastation caused by the western world`s addiction to meat and dairy.
