( past event )
If you`re veggie or vegan(or moving in that direction), why not come along to our meeting and get to know other veggies/vegans from across Redditch! We`re a friendly bunch, of all ages, from assorted backgrounds. We have one thing in common - we want to live a healthy, compassionate, eco-friendly lifestyle by not eating meat/animal products, and we want to promote the many benefits to others!
Kitchen Kosmetics Demonstration & Talk - with Nazama Azmat
As a child, Nazama Azmat learnt many tricks from her mother and grandmother about using natural kitchen ingredients as cosmetics. You don't need to buy expensive branded products - raid the kitchen instead! For both men and women - learn about vegetarian and vegan treatment recipes that have been handed down through family generations.
Nazama will give beauty tips, and demonstrate `easy to make`, effective beauty treatments using every-day kitchen ingredients. You will have the opportunity to smell and test some of the cosmetics, and go away with some useful recipes.
Why spend lots of money on beauty and skin care products which may well contain harmful, toxic ingredients, when you have an array of natural cosmetics at your fingertips in your kitchen!
As always, Red Kite Health Foods will have a stall at the meeting, offering a wide range of tempting treats from the shops shelves.
FREE ADMISSION - Everyone Welcome - Doors Open 7.15pm
Vegan biscuits and refreshments will be available for everyone from 7.15pm. As always, there will be a range of factsheets and leaflets to browse and take home. There will also be a `library` of interesting books regarding veggie/vegan diets. Everyone will be welcome to borrow books and bring them back next time.
