Tofu Cookery Demonstration - May `06
On Wednesday 3 May, the RVV monthly meeting became our first cookery demonstration, thanks to the culinary skills of Liz Hughes from Birmingham Veggies & Vegans. Liz started by showing us the different types of Tofu that are readily available(silken, smoked, marinated, fermented etc), what the differences are, which dishes to use them in and where to get them.
She then prepared 5 mouthwatering dishes including Sizzling Fajitas, Breakfast Scramble and Chocolate Pudding. As Liz worked away, she talked us through what she was doing and what ingredients were used. After watching Liz expertly prepare them, all of the delicious dishes were available to sample, and they didn`t disappoint!!
